Join us for a relaxed, outdoor Story Time experience at The Flower Meadow, a family-friendly flower farm just outside Tulsa, Oklahoma. 

Story Time is a simple weekly gathering where children and caregivers come together to enjoy nature-themed stories in an open-air setting surrounded by flowers, animals, and fresh air.

When StoryTime Happens

Story Time is offered seasonally from May through October, weather permitting.

Days & Time:

  • Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10:30 AM

  • Saturdays at 10:30 AM

Because this is an outdoor experience, weather conditions may affect availability. Please check our Facebook page for the most up-to-date information before visiting.

Who Story Time Is For

Story Time is open to all ages and works especially well for:

  • Toddlers and preschool-aged children

  • Homeschool families

  • Parents, grandparents, and caregivers looking for a relaxed weekday activity

    This is not a structured class or drop-off program. Children remain under the supervision of their caregivers at all times.

What to Expect During Story Time

Story Time features short, engaging stories focused on:
  • Nature and the outdoors
  • Flowers and plants
  • Farm animals and wildlife

    Families are encouraged to bring a picnic blanket or seating and settle in comfortably while listening. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, with room for children to move, observe, and participate naturally.
Story Time is just one part of a visit to The Flower Meadow. 
Before or after Story Time, guests are welcome to:
  • Visit the barnyard animals (animal feed available for purchase $1/bag)
  • Explore the farm at their own pace
  • Pick flowers during open u-pick hours (flower picking begins at $30)

For families with babies or toddlers, a jogging stroller is recommended for navigating uneven ground while managing snips, flowers, and little ones.

Important Notes for Families

At arrival, please choose one:
• Pick flowers → no admission fee
• Not picking flowers → $5 per adult

Story Time is free to attend during your visit.

Adult supervision is required at all times

The Flower Meadow is a working farm

Closed-toe shoes are required for safety

These guidelines help keep Story Time enjoyable and safe for everyone.

Holding Baby Animals

During scheduled Story Time each week, kids have the chance to hold baby animals from the farm. This may include a goat kid, bunny, or chick, depending on the season. Follow along on our social pages to see which baby animals have arrived.

Animals are available to visit and feed anytime we’re open.
Holding baby animals is only offered during Story Time. Baby Bunnies are not available if temperatures are above 95 degrees.

Pre-Purchase

We know just getting here on time is a challenge between forgotten shoes, and last minute diaper changes. Use this link to prepurchase any items you think you will need. This will help you from juggling one more thing when you get here. Pick up supplies from the welcome stand at arrival and go enjoy!

Reminder: Stories at read promptly at 10:30. Some vistors like to arrive early when we open (9AM) to beat the heat and leave after the stories are read.
